In december 2013 Copan Ruinas reported an uncontrolled fire caused by fireworks, one spark started it all, one hour later the entire town was there to help, we were able to contribute these photos, as we approached the area eager to help, without interrupting the ongoing work i ran to take my camera and took a few photos. I handed the photos to local authorities.
Months later Copan Ruinas had a fire department.
We thank our neighboring countries , especially Guatemala for sending their fire trucks 100 kilometers from the nearest city, also worth to mention La entrada Copan and Santa Rosa whose firetrucks drove hundreds of kilometers to find a completely burned but under control fire.
